Molesters in Disguise

Over the past years we have seen headlines come up time and time again about online encounters with pedophiles. It is amazing to me the length that some perverts will go to satisfy their disgusting perversions. At times I have watched the Dateline series about online predators. (It's one of those shows you mean to watch for five minutes and then it turns into an hour). Basically they show normal everyday men that you wouldn't even think would have such a problem get tied up into invitations from "under-age teens". They show up at the house and get interviewed by the reported and then are later arrested.

It is interesting to me to see these some what "decent" men turn into something else the minute they log online. In no way am I defending these men who will all wait in line someday to get a millstone wrapped around there necks as they chase it off a cliff. But it is depressing to see the power of the Internet. In my opinion, these casual chat rooms are as dangerous as pornography. They create a highly artificial fantasy and let the person at the keyboard become anything they think up. Little by little it pulls the natural man out of them until they appear to not be able to reject such a stupid invitation.
